i love studios' the wooden finish, the carpets, the near field speakers and the silence. i will so end up owning more than one of them someday. But it irks me. Most of the studio owners/operators know jack about sound and music. A recent record i had intended to produce, i got mixed by a indian sound guy and then a swedish guy. Both had relatively equal status as far as gear is concerned but the quality of the swedish mix is way far ahead. I don't know why in this country we are so backwards. i sat through a bollywood mixing session. i didn;t know wether to laugh or cry. the way they discussed beats and there was virtually no sheet music used. Amazing how some people won;t spend the extra 4 hours recording a real flut but rather use a sample. Just because Diddy does it don;t mean it's THE way. fucktards. But well i doubt that the drunk people at the drunk clubs that this song will play in will give a shite. Anyways as a musician it's insulting. If you are using samples you better have a fucking good reason for it. now if you are black, wear baggy clothes and a bling bling then it's a whole diffrent ballgame

I am getting too much into blues and acoustic song mode. I need to break out. confining myself to genre's is one thing i hate. the other day i pick up this beauty of a guitar overdrive it and absolutely failed to come out with any progressive riffs the likes of which i used to churn out at the speed of f2007. Hence i spend the last few hours listening to obituary and korn. it's virtually impossible to find people who listen to quality heavy shit. Crazy it is men.

it's not funny how many times i get asked to sing pearl jam or John mayer. they aren't even close. they are decades and genres apart. But i get asked to sing these two artists a lot. then when i start to sing 'oceans' or 'love soon' no one knows these songs. it always has to be 'jeremy' or 'your body is a wonderland'. honestly i think with most artists, there are always unpopular 'b' sides as they were known , which are way more nicer and fun. i think it;s the secret voice of the artist for other artists. these are the songs i have put on b side and only artists or people with souls will be able to fathom em.
